The Pilgrimaries

The much awaited village history night (the reprise) went down down extremely well last night. It all started with a glass of wine!

The Pilgrimaires, without doubt, sung their heart out to kick of the evening. If you get a chance to see them, they are well worth it. With Classics by Al Jolson to The Beatles and some comic relief, they shone.

Steve Chown then took us on a journey from 1086 to the present day. Photos and documents were on show and it was nice to see familiar places and some faces that don't look to have changed that much over the years. If you do have anything of interest, no matter how small, it come be a big part in the village history, leave a comment if you wish.

The Pilgrimmaires returned for their finally and they looked dashing in flying helmets and goggles!!!

Geoff then gave a presentation on the Teign Valley Railway. Again it is nice to see how the village evolved to how we know it now.

Thank you to everyone who took part, the cakes were really nice girls.

Diary dates to come. There will be a lantern carol parade in December, TBC.
Carols will be sung around the tree on Christmas Eve.
